Delete Springs

To delete springs:

  1. Select Delete Springs from the Springs sub-menu of the Loading menu.
  2. Use the mouse to select the nodes on which the springs are applied. Note that multiple nodes can be selected with a window.
  3. When you are finished selecting, press Enter or right-click and select Done Selection, and the selected springs will be deleted.

Tips

  • To modify existing springs, simply add a new spring to a node. The previous one will be automatically erased and the new one will be in effect.
  • On a multi-stage model, a spring will be deleted from a node even if the spring does not exist at the stage being viewed (i.e. if the viewed stage is < Stage In or >= Stage Out, as defined in the Spring Properties dialog when the spring was added to the model). You should keep this in mind when using Delete Springs on multi-stage models with staged spring installation.
  • All springs are automatically displayed when you select Delete Springs. The display of springs can be toggled on or off in the Display Options dialog.
