  2. Select the Edit Pile option from the Support menu (proceed to Step 2), or right click to select a pile in the model, and select the Edit Pile option from the popup menu (proceed to Step 3).
  3. You will first be prompted to pick the pile(s). Use the mouse to select the pile(s) you would like to edit. You can drag select multiple piles. Hit Enter key, or right click and select Done Selection.
  4. The Edit Pile dialog will show as below. You can view and modify the information in the dialog.

Pile Property – The pile properties determine the length, connection type, Out of plane Spacing and other aspects of the piles. More details can be found in Pile Property help topic.

Angle from Horizontal – Orientation of the pile.

Staging - if your model is staged, you can specify the installation (and removal) stage of the pile(s).

Install at stage - by default, the installation stage will be set to the stage that you are currently viewing (i.e. the currently selected stage tab). You can enter a different stage if necessary.

Remove at stage - (optional) you can also specify a removal stage, by selecting the Remove at stage check box and entering the stage at which the bolt(s) are to be removed (uninstalled).
The Pile Property type and Staging information can also be changed or modified at any time after piles have been added with the Assign Pile Properties option.

Edit Multiple Piles

You can simultaneously select and edit multiple piles with the Edit Pile option.

When multiple piles are selected and they have different properties or installation settings, the value of correspondent field in the Edit Pile dialog will be display as “multiple” (as shown below). In this case, if you edit the pile parameters and select OK in the dialog, these parameters will be applied to all selected piles. Therefore, if you wish to edit multiple piles and apply different properties or installation settings to each, the piles must be edited individually.

Piles can only be edited individually with the right-click shortcut. You cannot simultaneously select and edit multiple loads with the right-click shortcut.
