Opening a File

To view the results of a RS2 analysis, select Open Open icon from the toolbar or the File menu, and open the desired file. RS2 files have an .FEZ filename extension.

Before results can be displayed in Interpret, the finite element analysis must have been performed using Compute. If not, a warning message will be displayed when you attempt to open the file in Interpret.

Interpret will always open a file by displaying a Sigma 1 contour plot (if a stress analysis has been computed).

Opening Multiple Files

As RS2 is a fully MDI (multiple document interface) application, any number of files can be simultaneously open for viewing.

Furthermore, any number of windows (views) can be opened for each file, using the New Window option in the Window menu.
