Stereonet 2D Overview

The main forms of data visualization in Dips are the various stereonet options available in the left panes, and Stereonet 2D ribbon:

New Stereonet 2D

A new Stereonet 2D plot view can be generated at any time using one of the numerous methods below:

• Select the View > New Stereonet 2D option in the Stereonet 2D ribbon
• Select the New View > New Stereonet 2D from the Home ribbon
• Select + button and select New Stereonet 2D View
• Select + button and select New Stereonet 2D View with Preset > Vector Preset
• Select + button and select New Stereonet 2D View with Preset > Contour Preset
• Select + button and select New Stereonet 2D View with Preset > Major Planes Preset
• Select + button and select New Stereonet 2D View with Preset > Symbolic Preset

Filter Data

If a Data Filter is applied, the display will be immediately updated with the filtered results. The filter applied to the stereonet plot can be toggled using the Filter Applied dropdown in the Filter pane, while the Stereonet 2D view is the active view.
