Data Filter Overview

Filters can be applied to ANY view in Dips to update data being shown/analyzed, and provide an efficient way to dynamically view subsets of Pole Data Grid data.

To apply a filter to the current view:

  1. Select an existing filter from the Filter Applied drop down in the Filter pane.

When a filter is applied:

  • The Filter pane shows the filter definition beside Viewing
  • The Status Bar at the bottom of the application shows the filter definition beside Filtered.
  • The Pole Data Grid will show the filtered subset:
    • In the main Pole Data Grid view, all poles are listed, and filtered rows are highlighted LIGHT GREEN
    • In the Pole Data Grid pane docked in each view, only filtered rows are visible
  • The active view will be updated to show new analysis results with the filtered poles.

To clear the applied filter:

  1. Select the Clear Filter Clear Filter button in the Filter pan.
