Contours
The Contours entity in the Visibility tree shows where orientation data clusters and how frequently those orientations occur, making dominant structural sets easier to identify. It can also be used to plot intersection density and quantitative data to identify orientation-based patterns.
The Contours entity in the Visibility tree can represent:
Visibility
Contours always appear under the Visibility tree. To toggle on/off visibility, click on the Visibility

Properties
The following options are available in the Properties pane:
CONTOUR TYPE
By default, the Contour Type is set to Pole Vector Density, which plots the concentrations of pole (or dip) vectors according to the Fisher Distribution. There are 3 Contour Types:
- Pole/Dip Vector Density
- Intersection Vector Density
- Quantitative Contours
To set the Contour Type:
- Select Contours from the Visibility tree.
- Set the Contour Type using the drop down.
- If Quantitative Contour Type is selected, set the Data Column from the drop down.
EDIT CONTOUR DATA
Select the Edit Contour Data button to access the Edit Contour Data dialog.
CONTOUR OPTIONS
Select the Contour Options button to access the Contour Options dialog.
