Reporting Units

The Units setting is for reporting purposes only, so that input data of mixed unit systems is converted to an equivalent unit system. In Dips, the available Units systems are:

• Metric
  • Length in m
  • Force in kN
• Imperial
  • Length in ft
  • Force in tf

The desired reporting Units system affects how data is displayed in:

• Processed Pole Data Grid
• Joint Spacing dialog
• Joint Frequency dialog
• RQD Analysis dialog
• Chart view axes labels
• Exported values

Status Bar

Alternatively, reporting Units can be toggled in the status bar at the bottom-right of the application.
