Arrow

The Arrow option allows you to add arrows anywhere on plot views. This can be useful in conjunction with Text, for labeling purposes.

To add an arrow:

  1. Select Annotative Tools > Arrow Arrow from the Tools ribbon.
  2. In the active (Stereonet 2D or Rosette) view, left-click at the location you want the arrow to point to (i.e., head).
  3. Move the mouse, and you will see the arrow on the screen, with the tail following the mouse.
  4. Left-click again when the arrow is in the desired position.
  5. The Edit Arrow dialog appears with options to modify the Line Format, Arrow Style, Head Position and Tail Position. The Head Position and/or Tail Position can also be graphically modified by left-clicking and dragging the handles.
  6. Click OK to finalize the Arrow and add it to the view.

After an Arrow has been added, it can be moved, re-sized, formatted etc. See the Edit Tool topic for details.
