Pitch Grid
A Pitch Grid can be used to graphically measure the angle between two features on a stereonet.
To add a pitch grid:
- Select Stereonet > Pitch Grid
from the Tools ribbon. - The mouse follows the trend of the trend line. Left-click to place the trend line.
- The Edit Pitch Grid dialog
appears with options to modify the Color, and Orientation. The
Orientation can be graphically modified by left-clicking and dragging
the pole handle.
- Click OK to finalize the Pitch Grid and add it to the view.
Editing Pitch Grids
After a Pitch Grid has been added, it can be moved, formatted, etc.
To edit a pitch grid:
- Select a trend line from the Visibility tree or graphically by left-clicking.
- Select Edit Tool from Properties pane or Annotation > Edit Tool
from the Tools ribbon. - In the Edit Pitch Grid dialog, enter the Orientation or graphically change the pole orientation by dragging the handle around the stereonet.
- Click OK to finalize editing.

Right-Click Options
The following options are available in the right-click menu while graphically adding/editing a Pitch Grid:
- Done
- Cancel
The following options are available in the right-click menu on an existing Pitch Grid:
