Defaults
Certain dialogs in Dips (for example: Display Options) have a Defaults button in the dialog. If you select the Defaults button, you will see the Defaults dialog.
The Defaults dialog allows you to save the current settings in a dialog as machine-level defaults, so that the settings will appear each time you start the program.
- To save the current settings, select Make Current Settings the Default and click OK.
- To restore the original program default settings for that dialog, select Restore Original Program Defaults and click OK.
The Defaults option is particularly useful for the Display Options dialog, since a great number of options can be customized with Display Options, and you will probably want to save your customized settings as the program defaults.
