Save Project
Dips files have a .dips9 filename extension. To save a file at any time:
- Click on the File > Save
button in the Home ribbon, or select File > Save from the menu.
This will save all input data including entities, display settings, and views. The following project data persists in the file:
- Project Settings
- Project Summary
- Weighting Options
- Display Options
- Orientation Datasets
- Sets
- User Planes
- Folds
- Active filter in Pole Data Grid
- All open views (including their active filter and display settings):
- Stereonet 2D views
- Stereonet 3D views
- Rosette views
- Qualitative/Quantitative chart views
- Histogram chart views
- Cumulative chart views
- Scatter chart views
- Joint Spacing chart views
- Joint Frequency chart views
- View state information such as:
- Open view order
- Open view layout
The following do not persist in file data:
- Toggle Theme (this is saved at the machine-level in the registry)
- Chart Properties
