Save Project

Dips files have a .dips9 filename extension. To save a file at any time:

1. Click on the File > Save button in the Home ribbon, or select File > Save from the menu.

This will save all input data including entities, display settings, and views. The following project data persists in the file:

• Project Settings
• Project Summary
• Weighting Options
• Display Options
• Orientation Datasets
• Sets
• User Planes
• Folds
• Active filter in Pole Data Grid
• All open views (including their active filter and display settings):
  • Stereonet 2D views
  • Stereonet 3D views
  • Rosette views
  • Qualitative/Quantitative chart views
  • Histogram chart views
  • Cumulative chart views
  • Scatter chart views
  • Joint Spacing chart views
  • Joint Frequency chart views
• View state information such as:
  • Open view order
  • Open view layout

The following do not persist in file data:

• Toggle Theme (this is saved at the machine-level in the registry)
• Chart Properties
