Trend Line
The Trend Line option allows you to add a line through the center of stereonet or rosette plots. Adding a line to a plot is useful when comparing poles or concentrations on opposite sides of the stereonet. The line may also be used to show a dominant orientation, such as the trend of a tunnel centerline or the strike of a vertical wall.
To add a trend line:
- Select Stereonet > Trend Line
from the Tools ribbon. - The mouse follows the trend of the trend line. Left-click to place the trend line.
- The Edit Trend Line dialog
appears with options to modify the Color, and Trend. The Trend can be
graphically modified by left-clicking and dragging the handle.
- Click OK to finalize the Trend Line and add it to the view.

After a Trend Line has been added, it can be rotated, formatted, etc.
