Filter Options
The Filter Options dialog (available in the Filter pane) allows you to create filter(s) to search for any subset(s) of data in the Dips Pole Data Grid.
Add Filter
To add or edit data filters:
- Select the Filter Options
button from the Filters pane. - The Filter Options dialog appears. By default (if no data filters are defined), a default New Filter 1 is added.
- To add any additional filters, select the Add
button. - Enter the Name.
- To add a Condition, click the + button and select Add Condition. To define the Condition:
- Select the Column Name (e.g., Set) to query
- Select the Operator (e.g., Equal, Is less than)
- Select the Operand (e.g., 1)
- To add a Group (containing multiple Conditions), click the + button and select Add Group. Any number of Conditions or Groups can be added, which can be treated as "And" or "Or" statements.
- Click OK to finish defining the filters.
All defined filters will be saved and will be available in the Filter Applied dropdown list in the Filter pane.
Delete Filter
To delete a filter:
- Select the filter you want to delete from the list.
- Click on the Delete
button.
Duplicate Filter
A copy of an existing filter can be duplicated to save time in defining similar filter expressions.
To duplicate a filter:
- Select the filter you want to duplicate from the list.
- Click on the Duplicate
button.
Export/Import Filter
Dips filter files have a .datafilter file extension.
To export a filter definition:
- Select the filter you want to export from the list.
- Select the Export
button. - In the Save As dialog, enter the File Name and select Save to save a .datafilter file.
To import a filter definition:
- Select the Import
button. - In the Open dialog, select one or more .datafilter files to import and select Open to import.
Create New File
If you click on the Create New File
button, a new Dips file will immediately be generated with the current selected filter. Orientation Data data set information is preserved and will only contain the subset of entries.
