User Planes Overview
Aside from Pole Planes, Dips also allows users to add additional user-defined planes with the Add User Plane option. These are referred to as User Planes, and can represent any planar feature that you wish to highlight on the stereonet (typically used to represent slope orientations or other significant planar features). They can be added and edited graphically, and visibility settings customized independently of the Pole Planes in the Pole Data Grid view.
Visibility
When a User Plane is added, it appears under the User Planes group in the Visibility tree.
- To toggle on/off visibility of all User Planes, click on the Visibility icon beside the group.
- To toggle on/off visibility of individual User Planes, click on the Visibility icon beside each User Plane.
