Kinematic Sensitivity
The Kinematic Sensitivity option allows you to define ranges of values for the slope dip, slope dip direction, friction angle and lateral limits, and generate Kinematic Sensitivity plots for each variable.
To use this option:
- Select the Slope Kinematics > Sensitivity
from the Stereonet 2D ribbon. - The Kinematic Sensitivity Analysis dialog appears. Select the Failure Mode from the drop down.
- Select the desired Kinematic Properties (Slope Dip, Slope Dip Direction, Friction Angle, and Lateral Limit) checkboxes to perform sensitivity analysis on those parameters.
- Enter the From and To range and Interval for the selected Kinematic Properties.
- For Wedge Sliding and Direct Toppling failure modes, you can optionally define the Intersection Type and Set vs Set intersections.
- Select the Chart Type as either Cartesian (X, Y) or Polar.
- Select the Vertical Axis as either Percent or Number critical.
- Click OK to generate the plot.
