Export Geometry

The Export Geometry function allows users to export their model geometry for use in other programs. The geometry can be exported in the following file formats:

• RS Geometry Object (*.rsgeomobj) (Rocscience Geometry object file format)
• OBJ Files (*.obj)
• STL Files (*.stl; *.stlbin)
• Autodesk Files (*.dxf; *.dwg)
• STEP Files (*.step)
• IGES Files (*.iges; *.igs)
• OFF (*.off)
• FBX (*.fbx)
  
• PLY Files (*.ply)

To Export Geometry:

1. Select the Geology workflow tab
2. Select the geometry layers you wish to export under Visibility Tree.
3. Select Geometry > Import/Export > Export Geometry from the menu. It is also available from the File > Export menu.
4. Select folder location where you would like to save the file and enter the file name.
5. Use the Save as type drop down to select the file format (listed above).
6. Click Save.
