Keyboard shortcuts

RS3 includes numerous Keyboard Shortcuts (listed below) that allow users to quickly access specific functions in the program with their keyboard, rather than selecting the function in the menu or toolbar.

Users can view and/or edit their Keyboard Shortcuts by selecting Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts in the menu. This will open the Edit Keyboard Shortcuts dialog. From this dialog, you can assign a shortcut key to any menu command. Selecting the Reset All option will reset shortcuts to the defaults.

Defining Custom Shortcuts

To define custom keyboard shortcuts:

1. Select the Command that you want to assign a shortcut to (for example: Project Settings).
2. Click in the Shortcut key input and type the desired shortcut. If that shortcut is already assigned to a command you will be alerted that the shortcut is already assigned.
3. Click Assign to assign the shortcut to the command. If already assigned, the new Command will overwrite the old Command.

Notes:

• You can assign multiple shortcuts to any of the Commands.
• To remove a shortcut from a command, select the Command, select the shortcut from the Current keys field and click Remove.
