Loft

This is a special case of using the Extrude option. Loft generates a surface or volume between two selected polylines and essentially interpolates the combined shape between them.

  1. Select the Geology workflow tab geology workflow tab
  2. Select at least one polyline.
  3. Select the Loft Loft icon option from the toolbar or Extrude/Sweep/Loft Tools sub-menu in the Geometry menu.
  4. A dialog should appear. You can use the Add Curve or Delete Selected Curves to add or remove polylines to be used in the loft operation. The order of the list determines the order of the loft from one polyline to the next.
  5. You can also use the Close Top and Close Bottom checkboxes to convert the top or bottom face of your combined geometry to a polygon if it is closed. If you close the top and bottom, the program will attempt to fill the remaining voids to create a solid volume.
  6. You can also use the Preview Preview icon option to view your translated entities before you accept the changes by pressing Loft.
