Delete Entities
As mentioned in the Terminology section, any generated item listed in the Visibility pane including geometry, loads, restraints, etc is considered an Entity. To delete Entities you can do any of the following:
- Select the Entity in the Tree tab of the Visibility pane and select the delete option on its right or hit the delete key.
- Select the Entity in the Group tab of the Visibility pane and select the Delete Selected option.
- Select any Entity from the model Viewport to highlight the entity in the Visibility pane and then right-click in the Viewport and select Delete Selected Entities.
As you apply more operations or changes to your entities, such as adding a restraint onto a geometry entity, more connections will be built into each entity. This means if you were to delete a geometry entity then its attached restraints or other boundary conditions will also be deleted. If you delete a geometry entity piece that originated from cutting a larger piece into sections then all other pieces cut from the same operation will be deleted as well and you will be given back the original uncut piece.
