Symbolic Plots Overview
A Pole Vector Plot or Dip Vector Plot is capable of displaying feature attribute information, in the form of color coded symbolic plots, using the Symbolic Plot option.
To create a Symbolic Plot:
- Select Presets > Symbolic from the Stereonet 2D ribbon.
If Symbolic Options have not been set yet, then the Symbolic Options dialog will appear, allowing you to set the Data Type to plot.
The above steps will create a default plot of the data.
Symbols Legend
The Legend displays all symbols under the Symbols Legend. The Symbolic Plot symbol can be edited in the Symbol Editor dialog.
Chart
Analogously, Qualitative or Quantitative data can also be represented in a chart format. See the Qualitative Chart and Quantitative Chart topics for more information.
