Rapid Drawdown

The Rapid Drawdown tab in the Material Properties dialog, will only be available if the Rapid Drawdown option is selected on the Groundwater page of the Project Settings dialog.

If you wish to include a material in the rapid drawdown analysis:

  1. Select the Rapid Drawdown tab in the Material Properties dialog.
  2. Select the Undrained Behaviour checkbox.
  3. Select the Shear Strength Envelope Type:
      • Total Stress R Envelope - Linear
      • Kc = 1 Envelope - Linear
      • Total Stress R Envelope - Non-Linear
      • Kc = 1 Envelope - Non-Linear
  4. Enter CR and PhiR (for a linear envelope) or a Shear/Normal function (for a non-linear envelope).
