Summary of SLIDE File Types

The following filename extensions are used by Slide2.

.SLIM

The main Slide2 model files, created with the Slide2 Model program, containing all of the boundary, material property, loading and slip surface information.

.SLMD

Slide2 7.0 multi-doc file, used for Multi Scenario models. This is a *.zip archive containing the individual model files.

.S01

Slide2 results file, created after running the Slide2 Compute program on a *.sli file. These files contain the safety factor and detailed analysis information for slip surfaces and are used by the Slide2 Interpret program to view analysis results.

.SLW

Slide2 groundwater model files. These files contain only the model information which is applicable to a groundwater analysis. All other model information (e.g. boundaries) is saved in the corresponding *.sli file, which is always saved along with the *.slw file.

.W01

Groundwater results file, created after running the Groundwater Compute program. Used by the Slide2 Interpret program to view groundwater analysis results.

.P01

Probabilistic analysis results file. Only created if a probabilistic analysis has been run. Used by the Slide2 Interpret program to view the probabilistic analysis results.

.SLT

Slide2 tools files, used for saving drawing and text annotations added to views in the Slide2 Interpret program.

.RAF

Rocscience Auto-Format files, used for saving customized Contour formats. See the Define Auto Format topic.

.PWP

Pore Water Pressure files, used for importing/exporting water pressure grid data files. See the Water Pressure Grid topic.

.FN1

Interslice force function files, used for saving user-defined interslice force function files, used with the General Limit Equilibrium (GLE) analysis method. See the Interslice Force Function topic for details.

.FN2

Shear-Normal Strength Function files, used for saving user-defined shear/normal strength function files. See the Shear/Normal Strength Function topic.

.FN3

Anisotropic Strength Function files are used for saving user-defined Anisotropic strength function files. See the Anisotropic Strength Function topic.

.FN4

Support Function Files, used for saving user-defined support function files. See the User Defined Support topic.

.FN5

Permeability Function Files, used for saving user-defined permeability function files. See the Define Hydraulic Properties topic.

.FN6

Discrete Strength Function files are used for saving user-defined Discrete Strength function files. See the Discrete Strength Function topic.

.DXF

AutoCADä Drawing Exchange Format files. These can be used for the import/export of Slide2 model geometry. DXF files can also be used to import Water Pressure Grid files.

.SLI

Slide2 3.0 and 4.0 model files.

.SLD

Slide2 2.0 model files. Can be imported into Slide2 3.0 or later versions. See the Importing Slide2 2.0 Files topic.
