Cohesive

For cohesive soils, the user is required to enter the following parameters:

  • Undrained Shear Strength
  • Modified Bearing Capacity Factor, Nc’

Nc’ is Meyerhof’s (1951) modified bearing capacity factor.

The Adhesion Factor for Shaft is applied to unit skin calculations on segments within the shaft. To enable it, ensure that Include Shaft Adhesion/Friction is enabled from the Capacity Calculations tab of the Project Settings.

For more information on modified bearing capacity factors, please visit the RSPile Helical Pile Theory Manual.
