Opening Section View

The Opening Section View allows you to create, view and edit the Opening Section boundary, as well as a Ground Surface or a Truncation Surface. You can access the Opening Section View at any time by:

• Selecting the Opening Section View from the drop-down menu on the toolbar.
• Selecting Opening Section from the Select View sub-menu of the View menu.

Toolbar Options

When you have selected the Opening Section View, the following options will be available in the toolbar, which allows you to create and edit the Opening Section boundary:

• Add Opening Section
• Delete Section
• Add Vertices
• Move Vertices
• Delete Vertices
• Tools Menu

The options on the toolbar are also available from the Boundaries menu; the toolbar options are simply shortcuts. For details about creating the Opening Section boundary, see the Add Opening Section topic.

On the Sidebar, you have the Tunnel Axis Orientation options.

From the File menu, you can Import a DXF File to use as an opening section, ground surface, or as a guide for drawing the geometry.

Viewing and Display Options

Only the Opening Section boundary and Ground/Truncation Surfaces are displayed in the Opening Section view. Wedges and support are not displayed in the Opening Section view. The following view and display options are available:
