Probabilistic Joint Properties

Select Statistics > Joint Properties to define the variability of Joint Properties in the Joint Properties Statistics dialog.

In the Joint Properties Statistics dialog, select the desired joint Property and click the Add button to define a particular joint property as a random variable. You can assign a distribution type, mean, standard deviation, relative minimum, and relative maximum, for the variable.

Property

Click on Property to see the drop-down menu of properties which can be defined as random variables. You will see:

• Phi
• Tensile Strength
• Cohesion
• Water Pressure
• Waviness

In the drop-down list, you may also see any other joint property to which you added a variability such as persistence or trace length.
