Data Tips
Data Tips allow the user to graphically access information about input parameters and analysis results, by hovering the mouse over the desired entities on the screen. This will display a popup box which displays information about the object. The following information can be displayed:
- Coordinates of Opening Section vertices
- Wedge Information for each wedge
- Joint Properties
- Support Properties (bolts, shotcrete, pressure)
Data Tips are available on 2D views (e.g., Opening Section View, Support Design Views) and 3D views (e.g., 3D Wedge View).
Notes:
- The information which is available may depend on the view. For example: vertex coordinates of the Opening Section are only available (as Data Tips) in the 2D views, not in the 3D views.
- The information available may also depend on the Display Options which are in effect. For example: if the Show Joint Colours (in 3D Views) option is toggled ON in Display Options, then when you hover the mouse over a wedge in the 3D views, the joint properties will be displayed. If Show Joint Colours (in 3D Views) is toggled OFF, then the wedge analysis information will be displayed.
- The Wedge Information which is displayed as a Data Tip corresponds to the information selected in the Wedge Information Filter dialog. This is the same Wedge Information which is displayed in the Sidebar.
There are three Data Tip modes: Maximum, Minimum, and None. The mode can be selected at any time, from the Data Tips sub-menu of the View menu.
Data Tips Max
The Data Tips Maximum option will provide the maximum amount of information about an object. For example, when the mouse hovers over a bolt or a shotcrete layer, a complete list of support properties will appear. For pattern bolts, this includes the properties of the pattern (i.e., spacing and orientation).
Data Tips Min
The Data Tips Minimum option will provide a minimal amount of information, for example: bolt property name and strength type.
Data Tips Off
If you do not want to see the display of Data Tips, then you can turn off the Data Tips display by choosing Data Tips = None.
