Create/Open/Save File

Creating a File

To create a new UnWedge model:

• Select: New on the toolbar or the File menu.

When the UnWedge program is started, a new blank document is already opened, allowing you to begin creating a model immediately.

Opening a File

To open an UnWedge file:

• Select: Open on the toolbar or File menu and select the file you want to open.

To open a recent UnWedge file:

• Select: File > Recent Folders or use the drop-down arrow on the Open toolbar button to choose the appropriate folder or file.

Saving a File

To save the active UnWedge file:

• Select: Save on the toolbar or the File menu.

For a Deterministic Analysis, only Input Data is saved in an UnWedge file. Analysis results are NOT saved to the file since the analysis is automatically performed whenever a file is opened so there is no need to save the results.

This is not the case for a Probabilistic Analysis, where the results are saved to the file by default. If you don't want to save the Probabilistic results, uncheck the Save Probability Results to File checkbox in the Preferences dialog found in the File menu.
