Import RocFall2 File

In RocFall3, users can import an existing RocFall2 (*.fal) file. This allows users to convert 2D models into 3D models for rock path analysis.

Import Menu: Import RocFall2 File option

To import a Rocfall2 model:

  1. Select File > Import > Import RocFall2 file.
  2. Navigate to the folder containing the file and open the file.
  3. Once the Import RocFall2 Options dialog appears, set the Extrusion Depth (m), select Yes to both "Import Point Seeders as Line Seeders" and "Import Line Seeders to Plane Seeders" options, and set the Seeder Extrusion Depth (m). Click OK.
  4. The Material Regions are already defined based on the properties of the imported RocFall2 model.
