Advanced Selection

In addition to the main Selection Mode options, there are some additional Advanced Selection options:

• Select Bounding Edges from Selected Faces - select the edges that are connected to the selected face.
• Select Bounding Verts from Selected Faces - selected the vertices that are connected to the selected face.

To use the above two options, you will need to first use Faces Selection to select the desired face, and then select Edit > Advanced Selection in the menu to select the bounding edges/vertices of that face.
