New Project
To create a new project in RocFall3:
- Select File > New Project in the menu or click the New Project
icon toolbar.
A new blank project window will be opened in which you can start creating your model.
Before entering your slope geometry, it is recommended to review/enter your Project Settings:
- Select Analysis > Project Settings
in the menu (or click the icon the toolbar), so that you can configure the principal analysis parameters such as the analysis engine type (lump mass or rigid body), units, consideration of angular velocity (for lump mass engine), random number generation options, scaling functions, etc.

When RocFall3 is first started, you will always be presented with a new blank project window named "Project 1". You can immediately start creating a model in this window. If you are not starting a new project, then simply Open the file you want to work with, and the blank project window will be closed automatically.
