Define Materials
To define material properties, select Define Materials 
from the toolbar or the Materials menu.
You can define any number of different material types in the Define Material Properties dialog, by selecting from the list of materials at the left of the dialog, and defining properties for each material.
Materials List
In the Materials List, all currently defined materials are listed. The material being edited is highlighted. You can:
- Add a new material by clicking the Add icon
- Delete a new material by clicking the Delete icon
- Show only the materials that are assigned to the slope by clicking the Filter icon
- To copy the values of the selected property to another property, click the Copy icon
Material Name
The Material Name you enter should be a meaningful name which you can associate with your soil type (e.g. "upper clay" instead of "soil1").
Duplicate material names are not allowed; each material name must be unique.
Material Colour
The Material Colour option allows to select and set a unique colour for each material in the 3D model.
Material Distributions
The Material Distributions option allows to configure the material's statistical distribution type and data. For more information on this see the Statistics page.
