Displacement Vectors

Displacement vectors can be displayed on top of the contour plot of the model. This option can be turned on/off at any time after results are computed.

Select: Interpret > Displacement Vectors

Once you select the option, you'll be prompted with the option to change the scaling of arrows to scale the factor of choice. The autoscale option is available for arrows to be drawn relative to the size of the model.

The scaling factor is shared with the deformation contours.

Displacement Vectors without Deformation Contours

When showing displacement vectors without deformation contours, the contours will be made translucent in order for the user to be able to see any vectors which are inside of the contours.

This feature will only work if the hardware-accelerated rendering is disabled.

When viewing displacement vectors with the hardware-accelerated rendering, users will likely need to also turn on deformation contours.
