Extract Bounding Curve from Mesh

The Extract Bounding Curve From Mesh tool allows users to extract the curve bounding a surface. You can extract a polyline that outlines a surface as follows:

  1. Select the Geometry Geometry Tab workflow tab.
  2. Select at least one surface.
  3. Select the Bounding Curve from Mesh option from the Create Polyline From sub-menu in the Geometry menu.
  4. A dialog should appear. You can use the Add Surface or Delete Selected Surfaces options to add or remove from the list of surfaces that will have bounding curves extracted.
  1. Select OK. The extracted polyline curves will be added as geometry entities to the model and can be seen from the Visibility pane.
