Advanced Joint Application

The Advanced Joint Application option allows you to apply the Joint Water Pressure on selected joints only.

To apply Advanced Joint Application:

  1. Go to Analysis > Input Data Input Data Icon.
  2. Navigate to the Water tab (or in the case of a Probabilistic Analysis, the Joint Water tab).
  3. Select the Joint Water Pressure checkbox and make the selections as required.
  4. Select the Advanced Joint Application button.
  5. In the Joint Plane Application dialog:
    1. Select the Application Planes by checking the joint checkboxes. By default, all joints are selected.
    2. Select OK.
  6. Select Apply or OK to see the changes.

    TIP: The Applied Planes can be easily viewed by turning on the Water (arrows), Wetted Area, or Water Contours in Display Options.

    TIP: Detailed information about the average pressure, force, wetted area, line of thrust, and pressure polygons for each joint is listed in the Info Viewer Info Viewer Icon.
