Stereonet View
The Stereonet View display options control the information which is displayed on the stereonet in the Stereonet View.
- Planes - This check box will display the planes (great circles) corresponding to the current orientations of Joint1, Joint2, slope, upper face and tension crack. Note: for a Probabilistic analysis, only the mean plane orientations are displayed.
- All Poles - This check box will display the poles corresponding to the current orientations of Joint1, Joint2, slope, upper face and tension crack. For a Probabilistic analysis, this option will display all statistically generated pole orientations. For a Combinations analysis, this option will display all joint poles used in the analysis.
- Intersections - This check box will display the orientation of all intersections of Joint 1 and Joint 2, representing kinematically admissible wedges. This is applicable for Probabilistic or Combination analysis. Note: the intersection of two joint planes on a stereonet is given by the intersection of the corresponding great circles, and represents a line in 3-dimensional space.
- Failed - This check box will highlight all intersections and corresponding joint poles, which represent a wedge for which a safety factor less than 1 was calculated. This is applicable for Probabilistic or Combinations analysis. The All Poles or Intersections options must also be selected in order for this option to apply. Failed orientations are highlighted in red.
- In the Stereonet View, the Stereonet display options are available directly in the right-click menu.
