Filtering Path Results
The following filter types are available:
- Rock ID
- Rock Type
- Shape
- Stopping Reason
- End Point
- Coordinate
- Barrier
- Collector
- Event
To apply a filter to the rockfall results:
- Select Filter Results from the Results menu, or from the toolbar.
- Select the filter you want to apply. A pop-up window, containing all the options for that filter type will appear.
- Select the Filter Type (SET, OR, AND) and the filter parameter. When you are setting the first filter only the SET filter type is available.
- Select NOT if you want to view the results that do not match the filter specifications. (i.e.,. the filter "NOT End Reason [Edge Model]" will filter out all the rockfall paths that stopped because they reached the end of the model, and will display the results which have endpoints inside of the model limits)
- Click Set to close the pop-up window.
- Click OK to close the Filter Results dialog.
Once you have defined a filter, you can toggle the filter on and off using the Toggle Filter icon.
Filter Types
- The SET filter type is to be used when you want the filter you are specifying to be the only filter. By default, the first filter is created using the SET filter type. If you create a filter, using the SET option, all existing filters will be deleted.
- The OR filter type applies when you are specifying multiple filters and want to see filtered results that match either filter criteria.
- The AND filter type applies when you are specifying multiple filters and want to see filtered results that satisfy both filter criteria.
Notes:
- To quickly view the results that were filtered out, select Invert Filter from the Results menu, or from the Filter Results dropdown icon.
- To quickly clear the filter and show all results, select Clear Filter from the Results menu, or from the Filter Results dropdown icon.
- Multiple filters can be applied at the same time.
- When you are creating graphs, you will have the option to graph only filtered data.
