Autocompute

The Autocompute option in the Analysis menu allows you to choose whether a Probabilistic analysis is automatically re-computed when input data is changed.

To enable Autocompute:

  1. Select Autocompute on the Analysis menu.
  2. In the Autocompute dialog, select the Autocompute for probability analysis check box.
  3. Click OK.

When Autocompute is enabled, the Probabilistic analysis is automatically re-computed whenever input data is changed (e.g., Geometry, Strength, support, loading) by selecting OK or Apply in an input data dialog, or by graphically editing support, loading, etc.

Depending on the Number of Samples and Number of Random Variables you have defined, a Probabilistic analysis may take some time to compute (e.g., several seconds or more). Therefore, you may not want the analysis to be automatically re-computed while you are editing input data. By default, Autocompute is turned OFF.

If Autocompute is turned OFF, you must manually select the Compute option each time you want to run a Probabilistic analysis.
