Blast Site Markers (BlastMetriX)
This mode is intended exclusively for the use of Range Poles as hardware elements for the geometric referencing of the imaging area. For detailed information on the required field workflow, refer to the Field Procedure user manual.
Users familiar with previous BlastMetriX versions will recognize this workflow as the former BlastSiteGenerator workflow. All associated features are now available in Blast Site Marker Mode.
Blast planning in the BlastPlanner requires reference elements to define the geometry of the Blast Site. In subject to the dimension and geometry of the bench face as well as the imaging setup, different marker geometries are necessary for the accurate generation of the Blast Site.
The Blast Site Marker mode is required to:
- establish metrics and a vertical reference for the 3D model
- define the geometric borders of the Blast Site
- define the Top Level Surface of the Blast Site
- enable geo-referencing by the use of surveyed Ground Control Points
