Re-Running a Probabilistic Analysis

The initial analysis of a RocPlane model's input data is always done as soon as you click the Apply button in the Input Data dialog.

To re-run a Probabilistic analysis:

  • Select Compute Compute iconon the toolbar or the Analysis menu.

If Random Number Generation in the Project Settings dialog is set to Random, analysis results will be different each time you run a Probabilistic analysis. If the option is set to Pseudo-Random (the default), you obtain the same results each time you re-compute the analysis. For more help, see Sampling Settings in RocPlane and Random Numbers Settings in RocPlane.

Updated Views

When you re-run a Probabilistic analysis, all views open for the current file are automatically updated to reflect current analysis results. These views include:

The 3D Wedge View and 2D Wedge View do NOT change when you re-compute an analysis because the displayed default wedge is based on the mean input data, which is not affected by re-running the analysis.
