Compute

A RocPlane analysis is automatically computed when:

Compute Option

The Compute option on the toolbar or the Analysis menu can be used to run or re-run a RocPlane analysis at any time. Compute has exactly the same effect as selecting the Apply button on the Input Data dialog. However, note that:

  • If your Analysis Type is Deterministic, Compute is not necessary since you will already have calculated the Factor of Safety with the Apply button in the Input Data dialog. The Factor of Safety will NOT change when you re-compute a model with Deterministic data.
  • If your Analysis Type is Probabilistic, Compute (or Apply) can be used to re-run your analysis. If Random Number Generation in the Project Settings dialog is set to Random, analysis results will be different each time you run a Probabilistic analysis. For more help, see Sampling Settings in RocPlane and Random Numbers Settings in RocPlane.
