Ellipse

The Ellipse option allows you to add a circle or ellipse drawing tool anywhere on a view. To add a Circle or Ellipse:

1. Select Ellipse from the toolbar or the Tools menu.
2. Enter a point graphically with the mouse.
3. As you move the mouse, an ellipse will be drawn between the point entered in step 2, and the current cursor location.

NOTE:

1. • To draw a Circle, hold the CTRL key while you are moving the mouse.
   • To center the object at the starting point, hold the SHIFT key while moving the mouse.
2. Enter a second point graphically with the mouse, and the Circle or Ellipse will be added to the view.

After an Ellipse has been added, it can be moved, re-sized, formatted, etc. For example, the inside of the ellipse can be filled with any colour and the transparency can be customized. See the Edit Tools Overview topic for details.
