Measure
The Measure option allows you to measure the distance and angle between any two points on a view.
To use Measure:
- Select Measure
from the toolbar menu or the Tools menu. - Enter the first point graphically with the mouse, or enter x, y coordinates in the prompt line.
- As you move the mouse, a line will connect the first point to the current cursor location, and the length and angle of the line will be displayed on the screen.
- Enter the second point graphically with the mouse, or enter x, y coordinates in the prompt line, and the Measure line will be added to the view, with the length and angle displayed.
Snap Options are available in the right-click menu, if you want to snap exactly to certain coordinates.
After a Measure line has been added, it can be moved, re-sized, formatted, etc. See the Edit Tools topic for details.
TIP: For more flexible length and angle dimensioning, use the Dimension Tools options, rather than the Measure option
