Constant Lateral Stress

This option allows the user to input the actual values of the lateral effective stresses. When using this option, water pressure will have no effect on the lateral stress, even if Pillar Is Permeable is checked in Input Data dialog, since the user is already entering effective stresses.

Horizontal Effective Stresses

For Rectangular Pillars, horizontal effective stresses Sigma x and Sigma y can be defined in the direction of the x and y axes, respectively.

For Polygonal Pillar, horizontal effective stresses Sigma 1 and Sigma 3, can be defined with Sigma 3 oriented along Trend 3. Sigma 1 and Sigma 3 are orthogonal.
