Import from Slide2
The Import from Slide2 option is used to import Slide2 Limit Equilibrium Analysis (LEA) tension map results into RSWall to evaluate compound and overall stability for a reinforced wall. The feature is currently paired with Slide2’s Tension Map Analysis feature.
The initial model can be exported to Slide2, computed using the Tension Map feature, and then imported back into the RSWall model as follows:
- Select Results > Tension Map > Import from Slide2
- Click Import and select the Slide2 file you want to import using the file explorer. Click Open.
- In the Import from Slide2 dialog, use the drop down to select the associated Slide2 scenario for each desired segment.
- To Compute the wall results with tension map, ensure the checkbox is selected.
- Click OK and ensure all segments intended to be assigned are assigned.
After computing with this imported data, the tension results from the Slide2 analysis will be utilized in CDR calculations for the reinforcement.
When a scenario from Slide2 is assigned and OK is selected, verification between the file data and model is conducted which include ensuring that a valid tension map result has been computed and that the support geometry matches between the two models. While warnings will appear notifying any discrepancies, the significant number of varying features and capabilities between the two programs make a complete one-to-one comparison infeasible. Where possible, ensure that the models in Slide2 and RSWall are equivalent.
- This functionality is limited to models using an AASHTO design standard as well as models with reinforcement. Should any of the aspects be missing from a model, the results will not be affected even on successful import of the Slide2 file.
- Only Slide2 multi-scenario files are currently supported
