Export to Settle3
RSWall provides seamless integration with Settle3 to allow for this additional analysis. With the Export to Settle3 feature, you can export your model to Settle3 to Settle3 to calculate immediate or consolidation settlement under the wall. Refer to the Settle3 documentation for more details on its capabilities.
Exporting a model
After you have created a wall and defined all of its properties including geometry of the wall, loads, water table and material properties, you can use the Export to Settle3 feature to export one of the wall segments. To do so:
- Select Results > Export > Export to Settle3

- Use the drop down to select the wall you wish to export.
- Select the segment you wish to export. If your wall has more than one segment, you will need to export one segment at a time.
- There are two options for exporting segments:
- Option 1: Click Export file to export the segment and save it on your computer. After saving, import it in Settle3 using the Import from RSWall
option in Settle3. - Option 2: Click Open in Settle3 to launch the Settle3 program.
- Option 1: Click Export file to export the segment and save it on your computer. After saving, import it in Settle3 using the Import from RSWall
In either of methods, the section that you select will automatically generate a Settle3 model file with matching wall geometry and Unit weight of the materials and loading and water conditions, which you can then open in Settle3 to continue your analysis.
