Strength Criteria Overview

In RSdata, you can choose to work with one of the following strength criteria:

To choose a strength criterion, select Failure criterion from Define Material Properties dialog and choose one of the options.

When a strength criterion is chosen, all input and output data will pertain to the selected criterion. However, equivalent Mohr-Coulomb parameters are always calculated, if you have selected one of the non-linear strength criteria (Generalized Hoek-Brown).

For each of the methods, detailed description of the strength criterion is provided.

For Cam-Clay, Modified Cam-Clay, and Softening Hardening strength criterion, please refer to the Theory section.
