Export Blocks

The Export Blocks option allows you to export the geometry of any single block or set of filtered blocks to one of several geometry formats (which can then be imported into 3D Rocscience software such as Slide3 or RS3).

To export blocks:

1. Select File > Export > Export Blocks
2. In the Export Blocks dialog:
   1. Select the File Location. In the Save As dialog, set the file name and click Save.
   2. Select the Blocks to Include. Choose from the following options:
      1. Current Results Set: All blocks in the currently selected Results Set (i.e., All Valid Blocks, Removable Blocks, or Failed (FS < Design FS) Blocks)
      2. Filtered Blocks: All blocks in the current filter.
      3. Single Block: A single block specified by Block ID.
   3. Select the Stage To Export:
      1. Current Stage exports only the geometry corresponding to the currently selected stage in the Stage tab.
      2. All Stages exports the geometry for each stage in the project.
   4. Select the Export Option. Choose from the following options:
      1. Block: for each block, all joint faces and free faces will be exported.
      2. Joints: for each block, only joint faces will be exported.
   5. Click OK to save the geometry.
