Tunnel Section View

The Tunnel Section View shows:

  • a cross-sectional view of the tunnel diameter
  • the plastic zone radius (with and without support)
  • symbolic representations of the applied support (bolts, steelsets, shotcrete)
  • a Project Info Textbox with a summary of input data and analysis results

The Tunnel Section View can be displayed at any time by selecting the Tunnel Section Icon toolbar button, or selecting Tunnel Section from the Analysis menu.

Display Options

The appearance of the Tunnel Section View can be customized with the Display Options dialog. For example, the bolts can be displayed using the actual bolt spacing around the circumference or with any user-defined number of bolts. Similarly the bolt length can be set to any user-defined value.

Project Info Textbox

The Project Info Textbox within the Tunnel Section View contains a short summary of the project: project settings, main results and tunnel parameters. Rock parameters and more detailed information can be viewed in the Info Viewer.

Zooming the View

The display of the tunnel in the Tunnel Section View can be zoomed in or out with the Zoom options.
