Assign Anisotropic Surface

After an Anisotropic Surface is created, in order to use it in the analysis it must be assigned to a material using the Generalized Anisotropic strength type.

  1. Select Define Materials.
  2. Select a material and choose Generalized Anisotropic strength type.
  3. In the Define Generalized Strength Function dialog, set the Anisotropy Definition = Surface.
  4. You can then choose an Anisotropic Surface and assign a material strength type to the anisotropic surface.

See the Generalized Anisotropic strength topic for more information.
