Importing Liquefaction Input Data

Liquefaction input data must be imported from a ".lfn" file, and this file must be formatted as shown below.

To import liquefaction data into the program, it is easiest to modify a file that you exported. However you can also follow the formatting rules below (note that this is for SPT input data):

Line 1: "Settle3 - LD FUNCTION FILE"

Line 2: "VERSION 1.0"

Line 3: blank

Line 4: "FUNCTION NAME: file location"

Line 5: blank

Line 6: " type: 5 num: number of data points"

Line 7+: " depth: # n: # qc: 0 fs: 0 vs: 0 fc: 0"

Notes

  • If you are using CPT input data, line 7 and beyond changes to " depth: # n: 0 qc: # fs: # vs: 0 fc: 0"
  • If you are using VST data, line 7 and beyond changes to " depth: # n: 0 qc: 0 fs: 0 vs: # fc: 0"
  • For any of the input data types you can either enter a number for fc or leave it as 0. If you enter a number, remember to select the Use Custom FC checkbox.
